Maintenance Experts (MEX)

MEX is the leading provider of computerized maintenance management systems in Australia. They offer solutions to a large group of industry sectors such as manufacturing plants, building facilities, local governments, fleet managers, and contractors.

The Problem

MEX runs its business on an internally developed CRM system called "BOSS". The BOSS tracks all client correspondence, sales quotes, sales orders, sales invoices, work orders, and requests. The original version, written in Microsoft Access, had become unreliable and unmaintainable in the face of increasing demands for features, data, and traffic.

Why DevForce?

MEX believed that DevForce would enable them to rapidly rewrite and replatform the BOSS to .NET. It had to be both an immediate hit and a foundation for growth. As importantly, it would be a proving ground and blueprint for future software development.
