The new application
will employ an
n-tier architecture
based on a smart
client and a
server backend.
This solution
will allow Dorner
to swap out execution
of code to utilize
the cpu of the
client workstation,
while a stateless
DAL at the backend
will provide
a maximum of
scalability on
the server-side.
Dorner selected

it provides a
complete framework
for n-tier, smart
client development,
and it enables
Dorner to switch
from a compact
2-tier application
to a fullscale
n-tier application
just by a configuration-setting,
which gives the
company much
more flexibility
in deployment
than any other
option.

application
is still
under development,
